Kaelyn Long

Kaelyn Long was named assistant field hockey coach in March of 2025

Long has spent her collegiate career as both a student-athlete and coach at the Division I level. Last season, Long served as a volunteer assistant coach at Quinnipiac University where she helped the Bobcats compete in Big East play.

She started her collegiate coaching career as a member of the Harvard University field hockey staff during the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. In 2023, the Harvard coaches were named the NFHCA Northeast Coaching Staff of the Year after helping the Crimson advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. During her two seasons, Harvard compiled a 29-8 overall record and a 13-1 mark in Ivy League play.

The team was nationally ranked in several categories during her stay, beginning with a number 5 ranking in the goals against average (1.01) in 2022. One year later, Harvard place fifth in shutouts per game and placed sixth in the RPI ratings.

Her coaching resume also includes one year as a coach with the CT Elite Field Hockey Club, beginning with the program in May of 2024.

As a player, Long joined the Bucknell University field hockey program where she earned All-America honors from the NFHCA. She was an All-Patriot League player and collected one berth to the All-Region team while at Bucknell. She continued her career as a fifth-year student-athlete at Ohio University where she also captured All-Region honors and secured a spot on the All-Mid-American Conference team.

In the classroom, Long was a dean's list student through her eight semesters at Bucknell and was a member of the Patriot League All-Academic Team. She also received recognition from the NFHCA with berths to the Division I National Academic Squad.
