David Klein was named Assistant Director of Sports Performance in 2022 after serving first as an intern, and then an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. He develops and oversees training for baseball, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and women’s soccer as well as both rugby programs at Fairfield.

Before coming to Fairfield, Klein interned at Southern Connecticut State University, where he assisted with 15 of the Owls' programs. Klein is a 2019 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance. Klein is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is CPR and AED certified.
