2021 (Fall): Preseason All-MAAC…Co-captain...Played 52 sets over 18 matches on the right side…Averaged 2.56 kills per set on .259 hitting…Filled out the stat sheet with 24 blocks, 29 digs and one assist…Reached double-digit kills in seven matches…Put down a season-best 16 ills on .389 hitting in the five-setter against Hofstra on Sept. 4…Provided a spark with six kills on seven swings in the final two sets of the win over High Point on Sept. 5…Neared a double-double with 14 kills (.320) and eight digs against Seton Hall on Sept. 3.

 
2021 (Spring): Preseason All-MAAC…Appeared in 22 sets over six matches of the shortened season…Averaged 3.09 kills per set on .255 hitting from the right side…Also got a piece of 17 blocks and posted 17 digs…Recorded double-digit kills in four matches, including 16 in a four-set win at Niagara on March 18.

2019: All-MAAC First Team…MAAC All-Rookie Team… MAAC co-Rookie of the Week (Oct. 15)…Played in 105 sets on the right side…Averaged 2.93 kills per set on .250 hitting…Only the second Stag in 10 years to hit at least .250 with over 300 total kills…Ranked fifth in the MAAC in kills per set…Had double-digit kills in 18 matches, including back-to-back outings with 19 kills in the wins over Northeastern and Sacred Heart…Hit .300 or better in 12 contests…Had a hand in 44 blocks with 59 digs.

Before Fairfield: An All-Olympic League First Team honoree in 2018, Joelle Battles comes to Fairfield from Altadena, Calif., where she played on the right side at Maranatha High School in Pasadena. She was previously tabbed as All-Mojave River League First Team in 2017 and collected Second Team honors in 2016.
