Fairfield University Athletics

Kelly Svoboda has spent three seasons on the Fairfield volleyball coaching staff. She assisted Head Coach Todd Kress in the Stags' back-to-back MAAC Championships and NCAA postseason appearances in 2015 and 2016. Fairfield is 68-28 with Svoboda on the sidelines.

In addition to on-court instruction, Svoboda coordinates team travel, film exchange, recruiting and the daily operations of the Fairfield volleyball office.

Svoboda came to Fairfield following a four-year collegiate career playing for Todd Kress at the University at Buffalo. She was a two-year captain for the Bulls and holds the program record for career digs with 1,928. As a senior libero in the fall of 2013, she was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year after recording a Buffalo single-season record 626 digs.

Svoboda is a native of Cleveland, Ohio.
