Julia Anderson joined Fairfield Volleyball as an Assistant Coach in August of 2017, helping guide the Stags to the 2017 MAAC Championship. In total, the Stags are 39-23 with Anderson on the sidelines. She joined Todd Kress's coaching staff after coaching at the international level with Club USANY.

In July of 2017, Anderson coached alongside U.S. Olympic silver medalist Debbie Green at the European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia. USANY was the top finisher among all U.S. teams in the U17 Division. Anderson has also coached on the club level with Club Delaware.

As a student-athlete, Anderson started at setter for one season at the University of Maryland before suiting up for three campaigns at the University of Delaware. She totaled 390 sets of action in her four-year career, handing out 2,893 assists for the Terrapins and Blue Hens.

Anderson graduated from Delaware in May of 2017 with a degree in organizational and community leadership.
