2024 Season: Catherine Fitzgerald gained entry to all 21 games in 2024, starting the 16 of her last 17 appearances. She made contributions on both sides of the midfield stripe including an impressive six points over four games. She posted her first point of the campaign with an assist in a 2-1 setback against LaSalle but followed up with a goal in a 2-1 win over New Hampshire. Later in the season, she added a goal in the team’s decision over Merrimack before closing her account with an assist against Merrimack. She capped her season with a berth to the NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2023 Season: Catherine Fitzgerald moved into a regular role right from the start, eventually playing in all 18 games as a rookie. She took just two shots from the defender position but connected on one of those attempts. She tallied her first collegiate goal in the Bryant match, her third career appearance. She also added an assist later in the season, setting up one of the team’s two goals in a victory against LIU. Her play in the defensive third contributed  to the Stags allowing one goal or less in 14 of their 18 matches.

Before Fairfield: Catherine Fitzgerald will look to contribute as a defender during the 2023 campaign, a position from which she earned first-team All-state honors while at Gwynedd Mercy Academy. She served her teammates a captain for one season. She also earned a berth to the PIAA All-Star team. She was named the most valuable player at Gwynedd Mercy Academy. In addition to her scholastic hockey, Fitzgerald played with the WC Eagles club team.
