2016-17: MAAC Swimmer of the Week (1/25)
Set the school record in the 200m breaststroke against Siena on January 16 with a time of 2:43.25. At the MAAC Championships, set three personal bests. Clocked in at 2:10.08 (9th) in the 200 IM, 1:06.67 (3rd) in the 100 breaststroke, and 2:25.53 (4th) in the 200 breaststroke. Her time in the 100 breaststroke ranks second fastest in program history, her 200 breaststroke time in third fastest, while 200 IM time is fourth best. 

Before Fairfield: While at Lindbergh High School, Young was the Renaissance Award winner. In the pool, set a school record in the 100 yard breaststroke while also being named the Suburban West Conference Champion in the 100 yard breaststroke. Competed at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio. At the 2016 Paralympic Trials in Charlotte, North Carolina set an American and Pan American record in the 100 breaststroke. Earned a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke and placed fourth in the 100m backstroke at the Rio Games.
