2016: MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in 16 games while making 13 starts…Had a season-high four shots against Saint Peter’s (10/5)…Took three or more shots in three of final six games…Had two shots on goal against Rider (10/22).
2015: MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Academic Honor Roll...Limited by injuries throughout 2015 but managed two goals in eight games played and four starts…Both scores were game-winning tallies coming against Rhode Island (9/11) and Holy Cross (9/14) in back-to-back matches…Five of her six shots were on target during the season.
2014: MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Academic Honor Roll...Did not appear in a game in 2014 after suffering from a preseason injury
2013: MAAC All-Rookie Team … MAAC Academic Honor Roll ... Appeared in 18 games, starting 15 contests as a rookie … Finished the year with four points on two goals. Made collegiate debut in the start at Army. Scored first collegiate points with the game-winning goal at St. Peter’s. Also scored in victory over Niagara.
High School: Arestivo earned a pair of varsity letters at St. Anthony's, winning conference and state crowns in each of those seasons. She served as team captain during her senior season and finished the year with Second-Team All-Long Island accolades. Arestivo was named the MVP of her junior varsity team as a sophomore, helping that squad to a second consecutive conference crown. A National Honor Society member, she took part in numerous organizations at St. Anthony's High School, including Support our Troops, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Gang and Just for Kicks.
Personal: Daughter of Audra and Jeffrey Arestivo. Her father, Jeffrey is the all-time points and goals leader for Scranton, totaling 158 points in his career with 69 goals and 20 assists, becoming an All-American in 1986. He is also tied for the school record, scoring a goal in 12-straight games in 1986...Her older brother, Kyle, is a member of the men's team at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Sydney also has a younger sister, Kayla. Earned a spot on the Fairfield University Dean's List every semester...Part of the "Love Your Melons," a club that helps to improve the lives of kids battling cancer...Member of SAAC... Majoring in communications.
