Biography
2018: MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in 17 matches while starting the final 15 games…Tallied an assist against Lafayette (9/7)…Took a season-high four shots with three on goal at Colgate (9/18).
2017: MAAC All-Academic Team…Checked into 16 matches for the Stags while making nine starts in the midfield…Took 11 shots with four on goal…Team was unbeaten over her last three starts (2-0-1). Took part in Fairfield University’s StartUp Showcase, the university’s annual entrepreneurship competition.
2016: Appeared in all 18 games for the Stags with 15 starts, including 14-straight from August 26 – October 19…One of the free kick creators for the squad, she tallied one assist on the season coming against Canisius (9/17)…Logged a season-high 104 minutes in an impressive defensive showing against Monmouth (10/19).
2015: Started in all 17 matches she appeared in during her first season as a college athlete…Became the first Stag rookie ever to notch an assist in four-straight games…Started the streak with a helper at Canisius (10/3) and set the record with an assist in the tie at Siena (10/14)…Finished tied for the team lead with four assists, the first time a Stag rookie tied for the team lead in helpers since Nicole Cavallaro in 2007.
BEFORE FAIRFIELD: A four-year varsity member of the Cougars’ midfield, Habyan led St. John the Baptist to a CHSAA state championship and was named the Long Island CHSAA Player of the Year this season. The first team All-Long Island selection was selected the team’s defensive MVP in 2013. Habyan also played club soccer for powerhouse Albertson Fury and helped them to the U14 and U18 finals.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Bonnie and John Habyan...Born March 10, 1997...Her father John, was a MLB relief pitcher for several team including: The Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, California Angels, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, and St. Louis Cardinals. In total, John made 348 appearances with a 26-24 record with a 3.85 ERA. He made 164 appearances with the Yankees and had an 11-9 record with a 3.16 ERA and 10 saves. He was eventually traded from the Cardinals to the Angels for Mark Sweeney...Majoring in Marketing...Minoring in Business Analytics.
