Biography
2015: Team Captain…Earned a spot in the starting lineup in five of the 11 matches she appeared in…Took three shots during the year with two coming against Wagner (9/23) and one at Saint Peter’s (10/28).
2014: Started a career-high 14 matches, picking up her first two goals of her career…A midfielder, who can play wide, she scored a tally against Stony Brook (9/14) and Saint Peter’s (10/8)…Used a header to gain her only assist of the season against Marist (10/4)…Played valuable minutes in the MAAC Tournament and nearly created several opportunities for the Stags.
2013: Appeared in 15 games during sophomore campaign. Picked up an assist in victory over Niagara.
2012: All-MAAC Rookie Team ... Wieczorek appeared in 15 games as a rookie, making her first collegiate start in the regular season game at Marist. She had one assist on the year, feeding a goal in the win at Iona on October 20.
High School: Wieczorek earned four varsity letters at Hall High School, where she served as team captain her senior season. She earned All-State as a senior, after picking up All-Conference in her first three seasons.
Personal: Daughter of Annmichelle and Michael Wieczorek. She has two older siblings, Sam and KeriEllen. Involved in community service, including Girl Scouts Day, Mini Stags, Hunger Clean-up, CFC Training, and teaching soccer in Bridgeport. Major is accounting.
O'BRIEN ON WIECZOREK: "After a solid fall season, Emily enjoyed another productive spring and played somewhat out of position at a central midfield role. Her strengths are outwide in particular the left side."
