Kelly Boudreau

Kelly Boudreau returns for her third season as a member of the Fairfield University women's soccer coaching staff and her seventh year of association with the program. Boudreau was promoted from graduate assistant to an assistant coach following the 2013 season. In her current role, she is responsible for training the Stags goalkeepers, overseeing the strength and conditioning program and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program.

Boudreau, a native of Farmington, Conn., graduated from Fairfield in May 2012 with a B.S. in Finance.  A two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection, she is pursuing her MBA at Fairfield's Dolan School of Business. Boudreau earned her certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) this summer and is a Certified Personal trainer, and is planning on beginning work on her Performance Enhancement Specialist certification.

Before joining the coaching staff for the 2012 season, Boudreau spent the previous four seasons as the Stags starting goalkeeper.  The 2011 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the year, she finished as the program's all-time leader in saves, 396, shutouts, 36, and goals-against average, 0.89, and third in program history with 80 career starts.  Boudreau holds the top two single-season program marks in shutouts, (11 & 10), and GAA (0.60 & 0.63), while her 122 saves as a junior ranks second in program history.

Boudreau posted a school-record 11 shutouts and stopped a career-best 122 shots in 2010 as she earned three MAAC Defensive Player of the Week awards. She followed that with 10 more clean sheets as a senior, making 83 saves and posting an impressive 0.63 GAA.

Boudreau burst onto the scene as a rookie with a league-leading 0.61 GAA and led the Stags to a MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.  She was named Second Team All-MAAC, All-MAAC Rookie Team and to the All-MAAC Tournament Team that season, as she stopped 87 percent of the shots she faced and posted nine shutouts.  As a sophomore, in 2009, Boudreau was named to the All-MAAC Second Team after a 103 saves season which included six clean sheets.
