Biography
2018: MAAC All-Rookie Team…MAAC All-Championship Team…Three-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week…Two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week…Set a Fairfield program record and ranked second in Division I with 211 saves. Her .512 save percentage was sixth in the nation and the seventh-best mark in program history. Tied Katie Keenan (2010) with 13 wins – the most by a first-year goalkeeper in Fairfield history. Played and started in all 20 games. Had 10 games with over 10 saves, with a season high 18 saves in the 13-12 overtime win at Hofstra.
2017: Redshirt season due to injury
Before Fairfield: Had a very productive career as the goalkeeper for Half Hollow Hills West. During her sophomore year, she was named Suffolk County All-Division. As a junior, DiFatta was named captain of the squad, All-Suffolk County, Suffolk County All-Tournament, and Most Valuable Player. During her senior season, she was again named captain, All-Suffolk County, Suffolk County All-Tournament, Most Valuable Player, and received the Fox Strong Award. She compiled over 500 saves during her three seasons as a starter and lead the team to the playoffs each year, reaching the Suffolk County Division 1 Quarterfinals twice. DiFatta also played for the Long Island Yellow Jackets Curcio and is a part of the Team Italy National Player Pool. During the winter months, she captained the varsity basketball team, leading her team to the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Was named a Scholar Athlete for both Varsity Lacrosse and Varsity Basketball. In the classroom, she was the Treasurer of the National Business Honor Society and the Future Business Leaders of America. She also held the position as the Vice President of The Competition Committee for DECA. DiFatta took first place at the Brain Tank Competition at Briarcliffe College, second place at the Half Hollow Hill King of The Hill Business Competition, second at the DECA New York State Competition, and 6th at the International Competition. She received Proclamations from the Suffolk County Legislature, Steve Stern, and The Town of Huntington. Was accepted to the Summer Honors Institute at Long Island University Summer - Dollars and Sense of Globalization.
