Biography

2018: Played in eight games. Had three goals and four assist for seven points. Had a goal and an assist against Boston U. Also scored in the 14-5 win over Holy Cross and the 14-9 win over Manhattan.

2017: Made six appearances for Fairfield as a junior… Saw action against four MAAC foes (Siena, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, and Manhattan)… Fired off one shot against Manhattan on April 26.

2016: As a sophomore made one appearance for the Stags… Scored a goal off her only shot of the season in the win against Quinnipiac on April 20th.

2015: Smyth competed in two contests at attack for the Stags. She made her collegiate debut against Sacred Heart and saw action against conference foe Quinnipiac. Smyth recorded her first collegiate goal against Quinnipiac on April 22. She also tallied two assists in that contest, to finish the season with three points. She recorded one shot on goal with a shot on goal percentage of 1.000.

Before Fairfield: Smyth comes to Fairfield after letting four seasons at New Fairfield High School where she served as a team captain her senior year and registered 42 goals and 18 assists. She competed primarily at attack for the Rebels and recorded 51 career goals, 29 career assists, 21 career caused turnovers, and 14 career ground balls. During her first two seasons as a Rebel, Smyth garnered the Rookie of Year Award (2011) and was named to the All-Division Team (2012). As a junior, Smyth was named to the All-SWC First Team and picked up the Attack Player of the Year Award and the CT Super Junior Award. Her final season earned her First Team All-State accolades as well as a Senior All-Star Nomination. Smyth also earned four letters in field hockey. In 2012, Smyth also served as the Secretary of the FBLA, followed by being the Treasurer in 2013 and the President in 2014. She was also a member of DECA, the National Honor Society, and was the Secretary of Peer Mentoring.

Personal: Daughter of MaryAnn and Michael Smyth… Has three siblings… Sister, Amanda, is a 2012 graduate of Fairfield...Minoring in Health studies and places to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
