2017-18
Jared Harper gained entry to four games as a senior, beginning with a one-minute appearance at Niagara in February. He played in back-to-back games later in the year, picking up two minutes in the regular-season finale against Monmouth and a season-best three minutes against Marist in the MAACÂ tournament. Harper did not score in his four appearances but did collect an offensive rebounds in the team's win over Marist at the MAACÂ tournament. The guard also had one assist during the season, setting up a basket at Niagara in his season debut.Â
2016-17
Harper appeared in 12 games as a junior, the most appearances in a season for the guard. His last appearance came against UMBC in the CIT first round in which he played a minute. In his last regular-season road appearances, Harper tallied a career-high four points at Saint Peter’s, making his only three-point field goal attempt and one of two free throws. He also added a rebound in the game, one of his three for the season. He also grabbed a carom at Monmouth and against Manhattan. Harper attempted only one other shot in addition to his three pointer at Saint Peter’s, tossing up a three-point try against Manhattan. He played three minutes in that game against the Jaspers, tying his season-best set two games earlier at Monmouth.
2015-16
Harper spent most of the 2015-16 season on the injured list but did appear in the team’s postseason game against New Hampshire. The guard played one minute in that game and picked up a rebound in his brief appearance. Harper has fully recovered from his injury and will be ready for the 2016-17 season.Â
2014-15
Harper appeared in three games in his first season with the program, earning playing time at Duke and at Siena in the regular season as well as the Saint Peter’s game during the MAAC Tournament. He picked up one minute in each of those contest and did not attempt any shots in any of those contest.Â
Before Fairfield
A multi-sport athlete in high school, Harper joined Fairfield University as a preferred walk-on after attending Suffield Academy. The guard attended Campbell Hall High School before joining Suffield Academy. He showed his all-around ability at Suffield last season, averaging six points, four assists,five rebounds, and two steals per game. The team ended the campaign with an 11-5 record and advanced to the New England Class B Quarterfinals. Harper played football, basketball, and baseball while at Campbell Hall. In his final season at Campbell Hall, he helped the basketball team post a 16-12 record
