Biography
Off the Field: Carrick is an Economics major that has earned a spot in the Department of Athletics 3.0 Club in five of his six semesters. Carrick has coached youth lacrosse in both Bridgeport and Norwalk, and participated in Habitat for Humanity in summer 2009.
2014: Appeared in 16 games … Had a ground ball Bellarmine … Had a ground ball in win against Yale … Caused a turnover against Manhattan … Had a ground ball against Delaware.
2013: Carrick saw action in 10 games at LSM for the Stags as a junior. He recorded four caused turnovers and three ground balls. Carrick started the year with two caused turnovers and a ground ball in the Stags opening day win over Bryant. He had another caused turnover in the game at Carolina and then had two ground balls and a caused turnover in the win over Hobart.
2012: Carrick played in 11 games as a sophomore, all as a reserve. He picked up seven ground balls, with three in the win at Hofstra and two in the ECAC Championship game. Carrick also caused six turnovers, with a season-best three in the win over Lafayette. He aided the Stags offense in the win over Quinnipiac with his first collegiate point, an assist.
2011: Carrick appeared in eight games for the Stags as a rookie, including the ECAC Lacrosse League championship game versus Denver. His first collegiate stat was a caused turnover in the Stags win over Quinnipiac. Carrick picked up his first career ground ball in the ECAC win over Bellarmine.
High School: Carrick earned four varsity letters at The Rivers School, leading the team with 24 wins in his final two seasons. In 2009, he was part of the squad that captured the ISL Championship with a 14-2 record. Carrick was named All-New England and All-ISL during his scholastic career and as a rookie earned the 11th Man Award. In 2010 Carrick received the Ferris Thomsen Jr. Award for leadership, dedication and athletic achievement.
Personal: Son of Nina and George Carrick and has two sisters, Emily and Alex. His uncle, Jack, played lacrosse at the University of New Hampshire.
