Biography

2016-17: All-MAAC Third Team…Preseason All-MAAC…Made 27 starts in her 28 appearances, missing just three starts with an injury…Averaged 12.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and shot .415 from the floor…Became the 30th Stag to reach the 1,000 point club with a hook shot at Manhattan (2/12)…Netted the game-winning layup in the final seconds against Loyola (11/15)…Scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half to help lead the Stags over Niagara (1/20)…Became the first Stag since Janelle McManus in 2004 to hit 21-straight free throws (12/10-1/20)…Scored in double figures in 11-straight games which featured her two double-doubles of the season, both coming against Monmouth.

2015-16: All-MAAC Third Team…Preseason All-MAAC…Arguably the Stags most consistent performer, recording 23 double digit scoring games of the 31 games she started…Tied a then season-high with 16 points against Manhattan (1/8) which started a streak where she scored at least nine points in 15-straight games, highlighted by a season-high 21 points against Saint Peter’s (2/12)…Averaged 13.2 points during that stretch…Converted the game-winning layup at Manhattan with less than a second remaining (1/16)…Ended the season with her best offensive performances by netting 14.1 points per game and shooting .475 from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe in the last eight games…Scored her 700th career point at Quinnipiac (2/26)…Became more of a long range option, hitting three 3-pointers on the season, all in a six-game span (12/22 – 1/8)…Her first 3-pointer came against St. John’s when she scored 15 points and also went a perfect 6-for-6 from the line.

2014-15: All-MAAC Third Team…All-Met Third Team…MAAC Rookie Team…Six-time MAAC Rookie of the Week (12/8; 1/4; 1/12; 2/2; 2/16; 3/2)…Three-time ECAC Rookie of the Week (1/6; 2/2; 2/16)…Had one of the best rookie seasons in program history, finishing just three points shy of tying the 20-year old rookie scoring record…First player in Stags history to be named to the MAAC All-Rookie team and All-MAAC Third Team…Tied a program record with six MAAC Rookie of the Week awards…Led the team in overall scoring (11.9), scoring in MAAC games (12.2), and games won (13.7)…Had a streak of 19-straight assists without committing a turnover (2/23-3/8)…Was only Stag to post back-to-back 20 point games, doing so at La Salle (12/28) and Niagara (1/4)…Recorded best games of her career against Iona combining for 34 points, 17 rebounds, 15 assists and no turnovers in her two outings against the Gaels…First Stag since Felicia DaCruz to dish out nine assists in a game without a turnover…Notched a career-high four blocks against Monmouth, with three coming in the first half…Left the final game of the season at halftime due to concussion like symptoms. 

2013-14: Sat out the season due to NCAA Transfer regulations.

2012-13: Spent the season at Saint Joseph's University.

High School: A three-time All-State and All-FCIAC selection ... Named Danbury News Times Tip-Off Classic MVP and "Top-20 To Watch" by the New Haven Register and Connecticut Post as a sophomore, junior, and senior ... As a senior, guided Danbury to a 25-0 record and an FCIAC Championship ... As a senior, averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks per game earned School Boy/School Girl All-Star Team accolades ... As a junior, led the Lady Hatters with 19 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game ... Earned FCIAC Honorable Mention honors as a rookie ... A four-year starter and two-time team captain ... Also lettered in volleyball, serving as a captain for two seasons and earning All-FCIAC accolades.

Personal: Daughter of Karen and James Smith ... Has two siblings ... Member of Students for Justice ... Community service activities include the Fairfield Senior Center, the Wakeman Boys & Girls club, and Saint Mark's School ... Major is English with a minor in Education, Communications, and Black Studies.
