2011: Lawson started 49 of her 51 appearances last season and sported a .233 batting average during the campaign. She finished the regular season with three hits in the doubleheader against Marist. She owned a .304 on-base percentage after garnering 10 walks. The outfielder posted a season-best four hits in the first game against Siena, registering a double and a triple with two RBI. She had a three-hit game against Yale where she also added two runs and two RBI. She ranked second among her teammates with 15 stolen bases in 16 attempts, stealing 15 straight bases after being caught in her first attempt. She stroked a hit in 24 games this year, including eight multiple hit contests.

2010: Lawson appeared in 34 games as a freshman, more than any other first-year player on the softball team. She gained eight starts with five coming in her first five appearances with the Stags. She did not earn a start against a conference team, although four of her nine runs scored came against a MAAC opponent. Her best game as a Stag came on March 21 when she went two for three with two RBI and a stolen base against Sacred Heart. Lawson collected a two-hit game against Harvard, registering two singles in three at-bats against the Crimson. Lawson was one of four Fairfield student-athletes to reach double figures in steals, recording 10 in 14 attempts. The outfielder earned three walks which raised her on-base percentage to .297. 

Before Fairfield:  Lawson joins the Stags softball team after a successful career at Germantown Academy. She was a four-year letter winner, spending most of her time as an outfielder. Lawson brings a great deal of speed to the lineup which should translate into playing time this season. She should spend most of her time at the top of the batting order, providing the team with a good first or second hitter that can reach base and score runs. With her speed, the left-handed Lawson could be a regular on the base paths. As the season progresses, Lawson could challenge for more innings as she becomes acclimated to the college game.
