2023: Sam Lindsay finished the regular season by winning eight of her final 11 decisions which included six victories against MAAC opponents. She posted a 2.44 ERA during that stretch, earning two shutouts over 12 appearances. She earned her only save of the season by tossing one inning in the opener of the Rider doubleheader before earning the win in the nightcap by a 3-2 score. She opened the season by striking out a season-best four hitters, in addition to tallying three strikeouts in two other appearances (vs. Rider and Manhattan). She allowed one earned run or less in eight of her 18 starts during the season. She was the team’s co-leader along with Alyssa Weinberg for non-conference victories this season as both pitchers owned a 3-4 mark in those contests. In MAAC Tournament play, Lindsay started against Canisius College and allowed one run in two innings but did not earn the decision in the team’s loss.

2022: Lindsay put up career numbers this season, setting personal bests for wins (3), innings pitched (25.2), appearances (12), and strikeouts (12). After a season-opening loss to North Carolina State, Lindsay won three of her next four decisions including a victory over Iona in relief. The junior also won one of her three starts, picking up no decisions in the other contests. Two of her three starts came against Sacred Heart with the other coming against Hartford. Ten of her 12 strikeouts came over her final five appearances including three strikeouts in each of her three starts during that five-game stretch.

2021: Sam Lindsay came out of the bullpen for all 11 of her appearances, eight of which came after April 1. Her longest stint was a 3.2 inning effort against Iona College, allowing two earned runs with a walk and a strikeout. Lindsay tossed two or more innings in six of her 11 outings including three straight two-inning days against Rider, Marist, and Monmouth. She enters this portion of the championship with a 3.75 ERA against nine strikeouts and nine walks, highlighted by a season-best three strikeouts in two innings at Monmouth.

2020: Lindsay quickly earned time in the pitching circle this season, securing innings in five games which included one start. She received the nod against Yale University, going three-plus innings in a loss to the Bulldogs. She served her teammates as a reliever against Purdue, Elon, Butler, and Northern Kentucky. She did not allow a hit or run in her appearances against Elon and tossed a pair of scoreless innings with one hit allowed in the Butler game. Her longest outing of the year came against Purdue University, a 3.2 inning stint during which she scattered seven hits and walked one. She posted a season-best three strikeouts in two innings versus Butler.

Before Fairfield: Lindsay was one of the forces behind Spring Ford's PAC 10 championship in 2016, standing in the pitching circle for the title game. She posted a pair of RBI and earned the win as the starting pitcher with three strikeouts. She also helped the team reach the semifinals a year later. Lindsay captured All-Area honors as a pitcher during her career at Spring Ford. Lindsay also was a member of the Chaos Futures softball program before enrolling at Fairifeld University.
