Biography

2025: Quinn McGonigle has been one of the team’s more reliable hitters, finishing the regular season as one of three Fairfield hitters with a .300 batting average(27 of 90 - .300). Her most productive game came in the MAAC opening series at Mount St. Mary’s, posting four hits in four at-bats with three runs scored and four RBI, hitting for the cycle. She finished the regular season with a .295 hitting percentage after going 1 for 5 (.200) in the MAAC Championship. Her other season numbers include three home runs with 16 RBI along with five doubles and a triple. Two of her homers came in a 7-4 win over Iona, finishing the game with three RBI. She garnered three straight multiple hit games earlier in the season, going 6 for 9 in the three-game set (two hits against Campbell, Georgia Southern, and Campbell again). McGonigle has more multi-hit games (9) than games with one hit (8). She was nearly flawless in the outfield, cleanly handling 56 of her 58 chances.

2024: McGonigle was efficient during her time in the batter’s box during the 2024 season, scoring 11 runs, driving in 10 runs, and posting six extra base hits in her 60 at-bats. She placed second on the team with three home runs, just one off the top spot. She hit her first homer in the season opener and later added a long ball against Saint Peter’s and Niagara. McGonigle picked up a hit in eight appearances including a pair of hits against Saint Peter’s (triple, home run, 3 RBI) and Siena (double 1 RBI). She batted .250 over the final 17 games of the season, registering nine hits in 36 at-bats.

2023:  McGonigle contributed as an outfielder and a designated player along with serving as a pinch hitter this season. She started her career with a hit in each of her first four appearances, stroking four hits in six at-bats which included a pinch hit double against the University of Virginia. Her .259 batting average for the regular season was second among her freshman teammates, trailing only Delaney Whieldon’s mark of .287. She was equally effective on the base paths, scoring six runs and collecting four stolen bases in as many attempts. She recorded one multi-hit game, a pair of singles against Central Connecticut State University. Her two RBI came in consecutive appearances against St. John’s and Hartford. She was retired in her one at-bat during the 2023 MAAC Tournament.
