Before Fairfield: Jenkins was an All-Patriot League Third Team selection at Lafayette College in 2023-24, helping guide the Leopards to their best finish in the league standings in over a decade. He averaged 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, ranking eighth in the Patriot League with a .465 field goal percentage and also among the top-20 in three-point percentage at .339. For his career at Lafayette, Jenkins scored 1,042 points in 110 games for an average of 9.5 points per contest. He hauled in over 500 rebounds with 205 assists, 100 steals and 59 blocked shots.
 
Jenkins played scholastically for two years at Xavier High School followed by three at The Hotchkiss School. He averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per contest as an All-NEPSAC First Team performer in his final scholastic season, leading Hotchkiss to a 24-4 record and the NEPSAC Class A Championship Game.
