2017: Kristen Ball spent most of the season on the right side of the infield as a second baseman before moving over the first base. When injuries struck the pitching staff, Ball moved the pitching circle for the first time as a collegiate, last pitching during her scholastic days. In her first game as a college pitcher, she earned a save against Army West Point by tossing the final inning of a 5-2 win. She picked up her second save in the first game of the MAAC tournament by pitching the seventh inning, the only inning out of 28 that someone other than Destinee Pallotto pitched. Ball pitched in 11 games as a pitcher which included an appearance against McNeese in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional. The right hander hurled two-plus scoreless and hitless innings in the NCAA tournament, allowing only one walk. She had two starts in the circle during 2017, a five-inning loss to Monmouth and another five-inning stint in a loss to Iona. All of her 11 earned runs came in three outings – at Monmouth (four ERs), Sacred Heart (four ERs), and Iona (3 ERs). She enters the NCAA tournament with a 2-2 record and 2 saves with a 3.61 ERA in her 10 appearances. As a hitter, Ball ended the regular season by hitting in five of six games (6 for 16 - .375) with two doubles and two home runs along with seven RBI. Ball batted .273 during the 2017 MAAC tournament and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. In postseason play, Ball went hitless against Marist in the team’s MAAC tournament opener against Marist but ended with a five-game hitting streak.  She batted .313 with five hits in 12 at-bats and three RBI during the postseason with a .400 hitting percentage in NCAA tournament play (2 for 5). She registered the program’s first-ever NCAA tournament RBI with a single against #18 LSU.
2016: Kristen Ball spent time as the team’s starting shortstop for 25 games before moving over to second base for five games and to designated player for a pair of games. In all, the infielder started 31 games and batted .245 through the season. She put together a pair of four-game hitting streaks during the season, the first coming on March 5-6 during which she stroked four hits in 11 at-bats. She also strung together four consecutive games with a hit from March 11-16, batting .529 (9 of 17) with two doubles and four RBI. After that four-game run, the infielder owned a .350 batting average which was the highest point of the season. Ball showed her power capabilities with a home run against Northern Kentucky and Holy Cross, both in neutral settings. She recorded a hit in 18 games this year, including five multi-hit games that were highlighted by her four-hit effort against North Dakota.
2015: Ball raised her batting average with a strong showing at the MAAC tournament, finishing with a .192 hitting percentage. She picked up 15 hits, two HBP, and nine walks to reach base 26 times this year. The infielder had three extra base hits, all of which were triples and came over nine games (May 2-8). She picked up a three-base hit in the opener against Iona, the nightcap versus Manhattan, and another versus Monmouth at the MAAC tournament (May 8). Ball fared well in MAAC regular-season play as well, sporting a .250 batting average with six hits in 24 at-bats as well as a .400 on-base percentage. Against conference opponents, she registered five walks against just two strikeouts. In the field, Ball made just three errors in 99 Â chances including 40 assists
