2018: Tringali appeared in eight games over the 2018 season with the last two accounting for her only home appearances. Her first six outings came on the road and were all as a reliever, beginning with Towson on March 10. Most of her runs allowed came in three appearances, namely Towson (5 ER), Loyola-Marymount (4 ER), and Sacred Heart (6 ER). In her other five appearances, Tringali surrendered just two earned runs over a combined 7.2 innings pitched. She started two games this season, dropping her only decision of the campaign at Sacred Heart and earning a no-decision in 14-4 win over Central Connecticut. Tringali allowed just 12 hits in 13-plus innings of work this season. She did not appear in a MAAC game this season.

2017: Tringali gained entry to 14 games with six of those games coming as the starting pitcher. Her last start was at Hartford (April 18) when she tossed three innings in a 5-3 win on the road. Her first collegiate win was as a starter when she went four innings against Columbia, scattering five hits and fanning two hitters in her four innings of work. Her best strikeout performance was in her first career start when she sent down six La Salle hitters in a 6-4 loss in late February. She recorded 15 of her 21 strikeouts as a starter. Her only MAAC appearance was against Siena during which she allowed five runs on three hits and five walks in 1.2 innings.

Before Fairfield: Danielle Tringali joins the Fairfield University softball program after graduating from HB Plant High School. During her time at HB Plant, Tringali developed into a top pitcher, posting impressive numbers throughout her career. She ended her four-year stay with 19 career wins, 222 strikeouts, and a career ERA of 2.18. For her efforts, Tringali collected All-Western Conference first-team accolades as well as All-Area first team honors. She achieved success in the classroom as well, earning membership in the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and the National Mathematics Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta).
