2019: Cynthia Meringer enjoyed her best offensive season as a Stag with a .299 batting average that covered 46 appearances. She picked up her first two career triples this season, the first driving in a run against Canisius and the second coming against Saint Peter’s. The outfielder had a hit in 20 of her 46 games played with eight contests including two or more hits. She enjoyed a sizzling end to the regular season by garnering four multi-hit games over the final 11 dates, batting .392 (11 for 28) to finish up the campaign. Meringer put together an other impeccable season in the outfield with 60 putouts and two assists against one error, cleanly handling her last 45 opportunities. Meringer batted .326 (15 of 46) with four RBI during MAAC play during the year.  

2018: Meringer spent time both as a starter and as a reserve player, making contribution however she was asked to play her role. She started nine games as an outfielder, the most recent nod coming on April 24 against Sacred Heart, but also came off the bench as a pinch runner or pinch hitter during her 30 appearances this season. The junior finished the season strongly by picking up a hit and scoring a run in three of her final four regular-season appearances, batting .600 during the run (3 for 5). Her last time in the outfield came as a reserve during the MAAC Tournament, earning a pair of plate appearances in the four-game tourney. Meringer scored six runs and collected five hits in her 2018 season, batting .179 with  one RBI. She brought home a run against Furman on February 18. She batted .375 against MAAC opponents over the regular-season (3 for 8) with a .444 on-base percentage in 11 conference contests.

2017: Meringer came off the bench in 14 of her appearances, getting the nod as a pinch hitter in most of those games. She picked up an RBI in her first collegiate game against Butler, one of three RBI this season. She also picked up an RBI in her last regular-season appearances, a run-scoring single in the second Iona game. Her other RBI was the result of being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded at Rhode Island. The rookie picked up three base hits during the year, a single against Army, Wagner, and Iona. Meringer made five appearances in the field, all coming as an outfielder. She posted three putouts and no assists without an error in those games.  

Before Fairfield: Cynthia Meringer joins the Fairfield University softball program in 2016 after spending her scholastic career at Randolph High School in New Jersey. The infielder enjoyed a great deal of success during her softball career, finishing her four-year stay with a .503 batting average with 125 hits, eight home runs and 55 RBI. As a senior, Meringer registered a .387 batting average with 20 RBI. She was a first-team All-Conference selection and also collected a berth to the All-County first team. In the classroom, Meringer was an honor roll student each semester at Randolph High School.
