Melissa Dubay

Melissa Dubay begins her first season as an assistant softball coach at Fairfield University, bringing extensive experience both as a student-athlete and as a coach. 

She spent the 2013-14 campaign as a member of the Boston College coaching staff, working primarily with the outfielders. She was also assisted with hitting instruction in addition to scheduling practices and game management. During games, Dubay stood in the first base coaching box.

Dubay also served as an assistant softball coach at Brandeis University from 2009-13, overseeing the infielders in addition to working with the student-athletes on base running and hitting. She also coached first base and third base during her time in Waltham. She was part of the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year. 

She served as director of softball operations for Legends Baseball/Softball Organization where she was responsible for organizational and player development which included management of coaches and player recruitment. 

Dubay was a four-year starter for the Boston University softball team, playing shortstop for the Terriers. She was part of the program's 2009 NCAA Regional team, earning America East All-Tournament first team honors that season. She also collected America East All-Conference honors from 2007-09.
