Biography

2025: Charli Warren, a 2025 All-MAAC first team selection, enjoyed one of the best offensive seasons in school history, finishing the campaign with a .380 batting average. She has scored 46 runs during the 2025 season, eclipsing the school record of 45 set by Lauren Filicia in 2015. Her 65 hits broke into the top 10 for single season hits while her 26 stolen bases gave her the seventh highest single season total in the school record book. She became the sixth player in Fairfield softball history to reach 200 career hits, finishing her career with 205 hits which ranks fourth all-time at Fairfield. She had at least one hit in 41 of her 52 appearances this season including 18 multi-hit games and a stolen base in 18 contests with six multi-steal games. She stole three bases in a game against Mount St. Mary’s and also versus Merrimack. She has started every game played the team has played since her sophomore season.

2024: Warren earned All-MAAC first team honors for the second straight season and added another NFCA All-Northeast Region second-team accolade to her resume following the 2024 season. She was the team’s co-leader with 51 hits and held the runner-up position with a .325 batting average over her 47 starts. She posted at hit in 33 of her 47 games played including 12 multi-hit games. Warren recorded eight extra base hits with two doubles and six triples. Her triple total tied for fourth on Fairfield’s single season list and was the second most in MAAC play during the 2024 campaign.

2023: Warren finished the regular season with an eight-game hitting streak, registering 12 hits in 27 at-bats (.444 batting average) with five runs scored. She posted 11 multi-hit games this year including three-hit efforts against George Mason, Mount St. Mary’s, Manhattan, and Hartford. Warren recorded at least one hit in 35 of her 47 appearances in 2023, a statistic aided by her 13-game hit streak which lasted between March 22 to April 12. During that stretch, she secured 19 hits in 42 hits for a .452 batting average. She ended the campaign as the team’s top hitter with a .342 mark as well as the team’s top hitter in MAAC play (.379) and against the five teams that advanced to the 2023 MAAC Tournament (.419). She was second in hitting for non-conference play at .343, just a few points off Delaney Whieldon’s leading mark of .350. She pushed over the .300 mark following her two hits against Mercer on February 19 and was not been below .300 since that date. In MAAC Tournament play, Warren picked up her only hit and run scored in the team’s opening round win against Siena.

2022:  Warren earned the MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and secured a spot on the All-MAAC team as well as the conference’s All-Rookie Team following the 2022 regular season. She emerged as one of the top rookies in the MAAC this season, finishing the regular season with a team-best .347 batting average and co-leading 41 hits in 43 games played. She was also among the league’s best with 18 stolen bases in 20 attempts, picking up at least one steal in 16 games. Warren started her Fairfield career with two hits in her first 24 at-bats but turned things around with a two-hit performance against St. John’s on March 16. Beginning with that game, Warren batted .410  over the remainder of the season (40 of 99) and .477 over the final 14 regular-season games (21 of 44). She is also a team co-leader with 14 walks which raised her on-base percentage to .414 for the regular season. She had at least one hit in 24 of her final 32 games before the postseason. Defensively, she made just one error in 59 chances as an outfielder.

Before Fairfield: Warren enjoyed an outstanding career at McKeel Academy of Technology where she batted over .360 for her career. In her senior campaign, she was named the Hitter of the Year by The Lakewood Ledger after batting .556 with 47 runs scored, 11 doubles, three home runs and 39 RBI through 27 games as a lead off hitter. For her effort on the diamond, Warren captured a spot on the Class 3A first team. The outfielder also competed in the Junior Olympic Cup as a member of the Windermere Wildfire.
