Fairfield University Athletics

2024: Ava Cohen earned playing time in a pair of games in 2024, both coming in March. She started by entering the Utah State game on March 8 before getting the nod in a MAAC match up with Saint Peter’s on March 29. She worked out a walk in her only plate appearance of 2024 which came against Utah State.

2023: Cohen appeared in four games this season with three of those appearances coming as a pinch runner. She scored a run in that role when the Stags traveled to Central Connecticut State University. She served as a designated player versus the University of Hartford when she made one plate appearance. She was also a pinch runner against Monmouth University (February 18) and George Mason University (March 4)

2022:  Cohen has spent all but one of her appearances as a pinch runner this season, the lone exception coming as a designated player at Marshall on March 13. She batted twice in that game and picked up her only walk and stolen base against the Thundering Herd. The outfielder scored five runs during the season, crossing home plate against Mount St. Mary’s, St. John’s, Hartford, Iona, and Sacred Heart. She did not make any plays in the outfield this season.

Before Fairfield: Cohen joined the Fairfield softball program after graduating from Haverford High School where she excelled on the softball diamond. The outfielder garnered an honorable mention nod from The Daily Times as a senior. She also was a member of the Newtown Rock U-18 Gold team in 2021.
