2016: Corrigan appeared in two games as a rookie, making her debut in Fairfield’s victory against North Dakota on March 14. She received one at-bat as a pinch hitter but did not reach base. She gained another pinch-hitting opportunity against Rhode Island and came up short in the at-bat. 

Before Fairfield: Alex Corrigan joins the Fairfield University softball program in 2016 after graduating from Middletown South High School in New Jersey. She helped the school capture the 2015 Group III State title after the program captured three divisional championships. She hit .341 over her four-year career at Middletown South, stroking 75 hits which includes 14 doubles, a triple, and two home runs. Her best season came during her senior season when she capped her career with a .390 batting average and 21 RBI.
