Biography
2015-16: Swam three personal bests at the MAAC Championships, in the 500 Freestyle (4:52.43), the 100 Freestyle (10:11.44), and the 1650 Freestyle (17:05.91)…His finish in the 500 Freestyle places him with the 10th best time in program history… At the Terrier Invitational he swam a personal best 1:49.45 in the 200 Freestyle and a 50.56 in the 100 Freestyle.
Before Fairfield: As a member of the Saint Peter's Prep swim team, Capparis won the Hudson County Championship four years in a row. Individually, he captained the varsity team, set a school record in the 400 Freestyle Relay, was the 2015 Hudson County Champion in the 500 and 400 Freestyle Relay, and was named the Most Improved Swimmer his freshman and sophomore year.
Personal: Son of Phil and Sheila Capparis... Has three siblings, Michael (18), Caroline (16), Grace (12)...Major is Marketing.
