Placed second in the 100 SCM breaststroke in the Oct. 28 dual meet win over Monmouth
Placed third in the 200 SCM breaststroke in the Jan. 5 dual meet vs. Saint Peter’s
Won the 200 SCM breaststroke and placed second in the 100 SCM breaststroke in the Jan. 12 dual meet win over St. Francis Brooklyn
Placed third in the 100y breaststroke in the Jan. 20 dual meet at Iona
Placed second in the 100 SCM breaststroke and third in the 200 SCM breaststroke and was part of the winning 200 SCM medley relay team in the Jan. 31 dual meet win over Manhattan

2016-17: Swam breaststroke and freestyle events during his rookie campaign. Performed his best at the Terrier Invitational where he set personal bests in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.16) and the 100 freestyle (50.10). His 100 breaststroke time ranks ninth fastest in program history. At the MAAC Championships swam a personal best in the 50 freestyle (22.97). 

Before Fairfield: Swam breaststroke and freestyle at Juanita High School. Was a member of the National Honors Society.

Personal: Son of Harold and Lesley McGovern… Has one brother, Holden (17)… Father, Harold, swam at Gettysburg… Major is Nursing.
