Biography
2016-17: MAAC All-Academic… Improved his times in every event this season. In January at Wesleyan he recorded a 31.92 in the 50 breaststroke. And at the MAAC Championships, posted a 2:10.17 in the 200 IM, a 1:03.72 in the 100 breaststroke, and a 2:21.05 in the 200 breastsroke.
2015-16: Competed at Rider and against Fordham and Monmouth… His best time in the 100 breaststroke came against Fordham and Monmouth with a time of 1:12.48 and in the 200 breaststroke he clocked in at 2:37.96.
Before Fairfield: At Amity Regional High School his team earned a third place finish at the CIAC LL Class Championship in 2012. In 2013, Melotto was honored with the Award of Dedication and in 2015 received the Steven J. Zeider Memorial Swimming Award. In his senior season he was named the captain of the Varsity swim team.
Personal: Son of Albert and Jody Melotto....has one sister, Juliet (16)... his mother, Jody, competed in the National Collegiate Figure Skating Championships... Major is Business Undeclared.
