2024 Season: Viktor Nikolov emerged as one the Stags starting goalkeeper in 2024, gaining the nod in 16 of his 17 appearances. He earned three clean sheets during the campaign, posting the results in scoreless draws with nationally-ranked UConn as well as Lehigh. His third shutout was a result of making eight saves in a 1-0 result against Sacred Heart. Nikolov posted a season-best nine saves one game earlier against Saint Peter’s. He garnered seven or more saves in four games, reaching that total at Iona and against Lafayette. Over his final 11 games, Nikolov yielded more than one goal just four times which helped the team a 3-3-5 mark over the stretch. The goalkeeper earned a berth to the MAAC All-Academic team for his achievement in the classroom

2023 Season: Nikolov joined the Stags for the 2023 season and made his career debut in a 3-1 win over LIU. He made two saves in the game to pick up his first victory. Nikolov made two or more saves in five of his six appearances during the season including a season-best six stops at Rider. He was part of a combined shutout in his final 2023 appearances, making two saves over the final 29-plus minutes in a 1-0 win over Iona, giving the Gaels their only conference regular-season loss of the season. For the season, Nikolov owned a 2.06 goals against average with a .577 save percentage.
