Biography

2010: Lamura picked up playing time in five games during the season, three of which came against MAAC opponents. He earned a spot in the season opener, coming off the bench in a 2-0 decision against Albany. He played in three consecutive games between October 2-10, earning minutes against Rhode Island, Canisius, and Niagara. The defender bolstered Fairfield’s defense in each of those games, as the Stags yielded just two goals and posted one shutout in those three outings. He gained his only start of the season against Niagara, a 1-0 decision.

Before Fairfield: LaMura attended Christian Brothers Academy for four years and earned four varsity letters with the soccer team. His experience as a defender should help him at Fairfield, especially once he make the transition to the collegiate game. He was a proficient scorer at Christian Brothers Academy, scoring 26 goals and registering 35 assists for 87 points over his four-year career. For his efforts, LaMura was selected the team’s most valuable player as a senior, an award which came through the vote of his teammates and coaches. Off the pitch, LaMura received academic accolades from the Academy. He was also given the Monmouth Country Sportsmanship Award following the 2009 season. LaMura lists business as his major.
