Fairfield University Athletics

2016: MAAC All-Academic Uy contributed to the Fairfield cause as a midfielder, spending nearly the entire season on the pitch. He played in 16 of the team’s 17 games and garnered 11 starts, including the final three games of the season. The midfielder posted one goal during the campaign, converting one of his two shots on goal against Manhattan. His accuracy stood at 67 percent for shots that reached goal with four of his six attempts forcing a save. He began the year by starting eight of his first nine appearances before coming off the bench for his next four games played. Uy was in the lineup for nine of the team’s 10 games against MAAC foes.
 

2015: MAAC All-Academic Uy served his teammates in the midfield, playing in 18 contests. He started all of those games with the exception of the Florida Atlantic match. Uy picked up two assists with one each in back-to-back games. He garnered an assist in a 3-2 setback at Fordham and added another in a 1-1 tie with Army. Uy put three of his six shots on goal, representing one of the highest accuracy percentage on the team. He attempted one shot against Florida International, Fordham, Army, and Marist as well as two attempts in the Canisius game. 

2014: MAAC All-Rookie Jonathan Uy made an impact on the team from the season opener at Army and never left the lineup from that point. He collected 15 starts in his 19 appearance, with his only absence coming against Quinnipiac in the MAAC tournament title game. Still, the rookie performed well throughout the season both offensive and defensively. He posted his first collegiate points with a goal against Manhattan College, his only shot of the game. Uy finished the year with 13 shots, four which were on target. 

Before Fairfield: Jonathan Uy will join the Stags soccer program after graduating from Kellenberg High School. He played soccer for four seasons at Kellenberg as a midfielder.He was listed on Top Drawer Soccer's Top 150 rankings during his career at Kellenberg.He also played with the New York Red Bulls U15/16 and Albertson SC U17/18 programs.
