He earned a spot on the All-MAAC first team, two years after picking up All-Rookie honors as a freshman. He scored one goal during the year, netting the tying goal in a 1-1 decision against Siena College. The defender took five shots, making an attempt in four separate outings. He put two of his five shots on goal, the first coming against Boston College before hitting the back of the net against Siena. Cleverley is one of the team’s top defenders, and was often charged with marking the team’s top offensive threat.

2008
: Cleverley appeared in six games before an injury forced him out of the lineup in late September. While in the lineup, Cleverley was an important part of the team’s defense. He should be back in the starting lineup again this year.

2007
: Cleverley made an impact on the team from the season opener, earning a start in his debut against the University at Buffalo. He went on to start 16 of his 18 appearances, including a streak of 15 straight games that ended with a missed game against Saint Peter's in the MAAC tournament. His defensive play was rewarded with a berth to the MAAC All-Rookie team. Cleverley was on the field for all 10 of the team's shutouts, including four straight from September 15-26. He came off the bench against St. John's and Boston College. While he did not score, Cleverley was an offensive option with six shots in his 18 appearances.

Before Fairfield
: Cleverley brought a great deal of experience that should lead to a quick transition to the college game. His ability to make tactical decisions in the back will lend dependability to the Stags defense. His play will strength the team down the spine of the team. A vocal leader, Cleverley has great presence on the field.
