For his efforts, Casielles was recognized by the MAAC coaches with a placement on the All-MAAC first team. Just as important, the midfielder provided a game-winner in each of the team's first three victories, netting the deciding goal against Yale, nationally-ranked UNCW, and Army West Point. He also added an assist to his season total by setting up the team's first goal in a 5-0 decision over Canisius. Casielles was also the choice for four of the team's five penalty kicks, scoring against the College of Charleston and Army West Point.

2017: Casielles remained one of the team’s best creators on offense, picking up three saves in his 16 starts during the 2017 season. He picked up his first assist of the year in the team’s 2-0 win over Temple at Lessing Field, and followed up by setting up the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Saint Peter’s. His final point came against Rider which clinched the regular-season MAAC title. Casielles put half of his shots on target during his junior season, taking 14 attempts during the campaign.
