Biography

2023 Season: Daniel Raimondo continues his role as being a regular in the lineup, gaining entry into 12 of the team’s 16 games including a start in the Bryant match. Despite his reserve role, Raimondo provided much needed relief on the back line and in the midfield. His defensive prowess often frustrated opponents as he was on the pitch for three of the Stags’ clean sheets. He posted one point in 2023, setting up the game-winning goal in Fairfield’s 1-0 win over Iona.

2021 Season: Raimondo was a regular in the lineup throughout the campaign, starting half of his 18 appearances. He garnered a starting nod four times in mid-September before returning to the starting lineup for the final five matches of 2021. He ranked fifth among his teammates with four points, scoring a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Niagara during the regular season in addition to an assist against the Purple Eagles during the 2021 MAAC Tournament. Raimondo took six shots during the 18-game schedule.

2020-21 Season: Raimondo secured time in all eight games during the season with four of those appearances coming as a starter. He received the nod at Monmouth and at Rider during the regular season and at Saint Peter’s and at Quinnipiac during the MAAC Championship. He scored a pair of points during the 2020-21 campaign, picking up an assist in the season opener against Canisius and at Saint Peter’s in the MAAC semifinals.

2019: Raimondo moved into a larger role for the Stags as he played in all 17 games with 16 of those appearances as a starter. His only entry as a reserve was against Niagara in the season finale. Raimondo finished the campaign with one goal and two assists or four points. He was one of four Fairfield student-athletes with more than one assist in 2019 while is four points ranked fifth among his teammates. He opened the season with an assist in a 1-1 draw with Rhode Island in the season opener. He followed up with a goal in the team’s 2-2 draw with Stony Brook before ending the season with an assist during a 2-1 setback at Marist.
