Fairfield University Athletics

Before Fairfield: Cole Dougherty comes to Fairfield after two successful seasons at St. Louis University where he was a regular on the back line. He started his career with a goal and an assist in 13 matches, posting his first collegiate point with an assist against Rhode Island. He posted his first goal of the season in a win against Blackburn against which he played a season-best 90 minutes. His first collegiate start was against SMU. He followed up by starting six of his 17 appearances in 2024, posting an assist in the team’s win over Portland. As a defender, he was part of 10 clean sheets registered by St. Louis in 2024. In high school, he was part of Rockwall-Heath High School’s 2021 Region 2 6A championship squad. He was a member of the National Honor Society.
