Fairfield University Athletics

2011: Cristobal joins his twin brother Keaton for their first season of Stags soccer. After playing soccer locally in Westport, Cristobal decided to enroll and play soccer at the University of Richmond. He played three seasons for the Spiders and graduated last season. With eligibility still remaining, he decided to play at Fairfield University while attending graduate school. This season, Cristobal has played in 12 of the team’s 13 games with six starts. He started the last five regular-season games as a defender.


Before Fairfield: Cristobal comes to Fairfield via the University of Richmond where from which he graduated in May. He will play a season as a graduate student at Fairfield after playing three years for the Spiders soccer program. He finsihed his career with two goals and two assists, scoring at least a point in all three seasons withthe program. After spending his freshman year with the track and field team, Cristobal joined the soccer team as a sophomore. He started eight of his 17 appearances and scored a goal and an assist for three points. His first collegiate goal camea gainst Saint Joseph’s in an Atlantic 10 game. In 2009, he started 13 of his 16 games played and tallied a goal for two points. His goal came in a 3-3 draw with La Salle. He posted an assist last season, setting up a goal against Virginia Commonwealth. Before Richmond, Cristobal was All-FCIAC at Staples High School where he served the team as captain. He helped Staples to a Class LL final appearance as well as a league championship. He played club soccer with South Central Premier where he was part of three state championship teams, two Region I semifinal appearances, and a top10 ranking with the club program. He will work toward a MBA degree at Fairfield University.
