2016: All-MAAC second team, MAAC All-Academic Hastings enjoyed another solid season on the back line. The defender was part of Fairfield’s defense which placed fifth in the MAAC for goals allowed (1.41 per game). He started all 15 of his appearances, missing only home games against Hartwick and Manhattan. In those two games, the opposition scored five of its 24 season goals without Hastings on the pitch. He also contributed up front by scoring the game-deciding goal in a 1-0 win over Iona at Lessing Field. He took seven shots in his 15 appearances and put four of those attempts on target (57 percent).

2015: All-MAAC second team, MAAC All-Academic Hasting was a key member of the team’s defensive success a year ago as the Stags allowed less than a goal per game over their 18 dates. He picked up All-MAAC honors in his sophomore season after playing in 17 contests with 16 starts. He came off the bench against Florida Atlantic in the team’s fourth game of the season. His only time out of the lineup came against UMBC in the season opener. Hastings took three shots during the campaign, including one attempt at Florida International, versus Canisius, and against Rider. All three of his shots were on goal.
2014: MAAC All-Rookie; College Soccer News All-Freshman Team Angus Hastings was a decorated defender for the Stags, earning recognition both the conference and a publication. The defender was part of the starting lineup for all 20 games, beginning with his collegiate debut against Army. He was a key member of the Fairfield defense which led the nation in shutout percentage (0.65) and in shutouts overall (13). He was also a component offensively, taking three shots during the season (Yale, at Monmouth, vs. Monmouth). His ability to lock up the opposition's offense was a key contributor to the postseason accolades earned by Hastings.
 Before Fairfield: Angus Hastings comes to Fairfield University via Woodhouse Grove in England. In an entirely different sports realm, his grandfather was an accomplished darts player.
