Biography
2022: All-CAA First Team…All-New England Second Team…Played all 14 games with 13 starts in the midfield…Scored 39 goals with 10 assists…Had 10 multi-goal games, including six at Drexel on April 9…Scored five goals each in the wins over Wagner and Quinnipiac…Posted seven points with four goals and three assists in the March 19 win over Providence…Scored four game-winners and five man-up tallies.
2021: All-CAA Second Team…NEILA All-Academic… CAA Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Appeared in 10 games with nine starts in the midfield…Scored 19 goals with four assists…Had seven multi-goal games, including hat tricks against Providence, Delaware and Hofstra…Scored two man-up goals in both the Delaware and Hofstra home contests.
2020: Started all seven games in the midfield…scored 24 goals with two assists…Posted two or more points in every game…Netted five goals in the wins over Stony Brook and Quinnipiac…Also notched a five-point day with four goals and an assist in the season-ending win over Siena…Scored the game-winning goals in back-to-back games against Quinnipiac and LIU…Led the CAA with six man-up goals, one shy of the national leader…Collected 11 ground balls.
2019: All-CAA Second Team…CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll…Appeared in all 14 games with 12 starts in the midfield…Scored 25 goals and dished out seven assists…Had seven multi-goal efforts…Netted a hat trick in the season-opener against Saint Joseph’s…Racked up six goals, including the equalizer in the closing seconds of regulation and the overtime game-winner, on March 12 at Bryant.
2018: CAA All-Rookie Team…Played in 15 games, starting three. Scored 10 goals and added five assists. Ranked 21st nationally with six man-up goals. Scored three goals in the 12-8 win over NJIT and had multi-point games against Saint Joseph’s, Stony Brook, Quinnipiac and Penn State.
Taylor Strough is a graduate of Cold Spring Harbor High School, where he helped lead the Seahawks to three consecutive Class C State Championships from 2015-17 – the first team in Long Island history to accomplish the feat. Capping off an undefeated run to the title this past spring, Strough turned in a four-goal performance en route to MVP honors in the Championship Game for the second straight season. He is a US Lacrosse All-American and holds the Nassau County goal scoring record for a midfielder. A National Honor Society member, he will join the Dolan School of Business as a finance major. Strough was teammates with Colin Burke at Cold Spring Harbor for two seasons, including the 2015 State Championship team.
