Fairfield University Athletics

General: Paul Hellar is in his first season as a member of the Stags attack unit.

Off the Field: Hellar is a Finance major.

High School: Hellar earned four varsity letters at Duxbury High School, helping the squad post 83 wins in that time and scoring over 225 career points.  He served as team captain his senior season, leading the team to its third Division I State crown in four years, with a 23-2 record.  Hellar was a 2012 All-America selection, as he earned his third consecutive Patriot League All-Star nod.  He earned the team Attack MVP in 2010 and 2012 and led the team in scoring as a sophomore and junior.  Popdan also excelled in the classroom, earning Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team honors as a senior.  ESPN named Popdan First Team All-State in 2012, as did Boston Lax.

Personal: Paul Beyerle Hellar is the son of Lisa and Paul Hellar and has a younger sister, Dorothy.
