Biography

Career: Concluded the 2018 season ranked fifth in points (144), seventh in assists (55) and ninth in goals (89) in program history. Is the all-time leader at Fairfield with 360 shot attempts.

2018: Played in 15 games, starting 10 for Fairfield. Led the team for the third consecutive year in points with 40 as he posted 17 goals and a team-leading 23 assists, becoming the fourth Stag with 40+ points in each of his first three seasons. He also joined Matt Callaghan as the second Stag to lead the team in points in three straight seasons and is the only Stag to ever lead the team in goals in back-to-back seasons (2016-17) and assists in back-to-back seasons (2017-18). In 2018, Burke was one of six players in the nation with 10 or more man-up assists. He set a personal career-high and tied the Rafferty Stadium record with eight points (three goals, five assists) against Drexel and notched a seven-point day (four goals, three assists) in the win over NJIT.

2017: Second Team All-New England…Second Team All-CAA…Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America Third Team…CAA Preseason Player of the Year...Appeared and started in all 14 games…Led the Stags with 41 points, becoming the second Fairfield player since 1999 to record back-to-back 40-point campaigns…With 26 goals and 15 assists, he became the third Stag to ever lead the team in both categories in the same season…Posted a point in 13 of 14 games with at least one goal in 12 of those outings…Also collected 23 ground balls…Had a six-point day with four goals and two assists in the win at Bucknell…Netted a hat trick at #15 Yale…Scored four goals at #2 Penn State…Had a four point day with three goals and an assist against Villanova…Racked up five points (two goals, three assists) at Drexel…Scored two goals with one assist in the win over #15 Towson…Ended the campaign with three goals and three assists in the victory over Delaware.

2016: USILA All-America Honorable Mention…Second Team All-NEILA…CAA co-Player of the Year…CAA Rookie of the Year…First Team All-CAA…CAA All-Rookie Team…CAA All-Championship Team…Record seven-time CAA Rookie of the Week…Two-time ECAC Rookie of the Week…Led the CAA with 46 goals and 63 total points… Also ranked third in the CAA with 17 assists…63 total points are a Fairfield freshman record and ranked sixth overall in single-season history…46 goals were two shy of the program record set by Spencer Steele in 1999…Led all freshmen in the nation and ranked 14th overall in goals per game (2.69)…Ranked second in the nation among freshmen and 26th overall in points per game (3.71)…His nine man-up goals led the CAA and were two shy of the NCAA lead…The only Stag to record a point in all 17 games…Had 13 multiple-goal games, including nine hat tricks, six four-goal outings and two five-goal days…Scored 15 goals and 21 total points in five CAA games…Had five goals and two assists at Towson on April 23…Racked up five goals, including three straight in a pivotal third quarter run, with two assists in the CAA Championship Semifinals against Hofstra…Added an assist in the CAA Championship Game to lock up All-Championship honors.

High School: An All-America Honorable Mention as an attackman for the 2015 State Championship Team at Cold Spring Harbor...An All-Nassau County selection and the Most Valuable Player of the Nassau County Championship Game.
