Biography

2015-16

Scott King Jr. contributed both offensive and defensively in his one year with the program. After playing three seasons at Stony Brook, the forward joined the Stags in 2015-16 and posted 3.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks per game in his 24 games played. He picked up all five of his starts in the first nine games of the season – vs. Yale, at North Carolina, at Northwestern, vs. Rider, and vs. Wagner. King Jr. opened the season with four points, one rebounds, and four blocked shots against Yale, making two of five field goal tries. He led all reserves in scoring with his personal-best 11 points versus Iona, which also featured five rebounds. King Jr. also showed his passing ability with 16 assists, averaging 0.7 per game. He dished at least one assist in a dozen games.

 

Before Fairfield
King Jr., a 6-10, 230 pound forward, transfers to Fairfield after spending three seasons at the University at Stony Brook. After a redshirt year in 2012-13, the New Hampshire native contributed to 71 wins in three seasons with the Seawolves. He ranked second on the team in three-point field goal percentage and fourth in three pointers made as a sophomore and junior at Stony Brook. Overall, King shot 36 percent from three-point range and 74 percent from the free throw line over his three-year stay. He graduated from Holderness School before enrolling at Stony Brook.
