Biography
2024-25: Peyton Smith appeared in all 32 games, making 25 starts on the blocks. He scored 7.0 points per game and hauled in 3.9 rebounds per contest. Smith had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the December home win over FDU. Three days later, he scored the game-winner en route to 15 points against Rider and had the game-tying bucket in the February home win over Marist. Smith totaled eight games scoring in double figures on the season.
2023-24: MAAC Rookie of the Week (Nov. 20)…Appeared in 34 games with 22 starts as a true freshman, averaging 18.4 minutes per game…Netted 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest…Scored in double figures in eight contests, including a career-best 17 in the Jan. 15 win at Canisius…Had a double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots in the Dec. 3 victory at Rider…Scored nine points in the MAAC Semifinal win over Marist…Made seven three-pointers on the season…Shot 74.5 percent (41-55) from the free throw line.
Before Fairfield: All-State forward Peyton Smith was a two-time Foothills League MVP and a 1,000-point scorer at Hudson Falls High School. Smith played for his father Greg at Hudson Falls, averaging a double-double in his senior campaign comprised of 26 points and 12 rebounds per game. An NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete who graduated with honors in June, he also participated in football, baseball, golf and swimming during his career at Hudson Falls.
