2021-22: Made four appearances in an injury-shortened season…Averaged 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per game…Shot 7-for-11 (.636) from the field and made his only two free throw attempts…Played three minutes and dished out an assist in his collegiate debut at Providence...Had his longest appearance as a Stag with 17 minutes of work off the bench against Medgar Evers and responded with a team-high 14 points along with eight rebounds...Pulled down two key rebounds in the Nov. 20 win at Sacred Heart...Scored two points in the win at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Before Fairfield: Makai Willis joined the Fairfield Univversity men's basketball program after a successful academic and athletic career at Florida State School in Tallahassee.    Willis helped Florida State University Schools to a 20-win season in 2019-20, contributing 10.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. He was named the player of the game against Master's Academy in the 2020 Boys Basketball State Tournament, registering 13 points and eight rebounds per game. He's been a key contributor throughout his career at Florida State University Schools, beginning with his 7.4 scoring average as a freshman. He followed up with 9.5 points per contests as a sophomore, adding 6.9 rebounds to his season averages. Through his first three years at the school, Willis owns a 9.1 scoring average and a 6.8 rebounding average. Defensively, Willis has the ability to change shots, blocking 1.3 per contest over his 80-plus games.
