2023 Season: Dominique Van Der Zee enjoyed a memorable freshman season, ranking among the team leaders in scoring. The rookie finished the campaign with five goals and four assists for 14 points, highlighted by her game-winning goal against LIU on October 22. She posted at least one point in seven different games, scoring a personal-best five points (two goals, one assist) in the team’s 6-0 victory against Sacred Heart. The Sacred Heart performance was fourth in a five-game scoring streak by Van Der Zee, registering four goals and three assists during that stretch.

Before Fairfield: Van Der Zee brings international experience, joining the team after playing for the Push Hockey Club as a forward/midfielder. She started her field hockey career at MHC Warande and has consistently played for the first selection teams of her clubs. Her speed and agility will be a welcome addition up front for the Stags. Before arriving on campus, Van Der Zee attended Msr. Frencken College.
