Mike Jarvis II came to Fairfield in December of 2021 as Associate Director of Athletics/Associate Director of Athletic Development. He works directly with men’s and women’s basketball as well as several other programs to support the development and implementation of strategies to achieve their respective fundraising goals.
A veteran men’s basketball coach who has been on staff for eight NCAA Tournament appearances, Jarvis II’s résumé includes tenures at George Washington University, Drexel University, St. John’s University and Duke University. His eight NCAA postseason trips include four Sweet Sixteen appearances. He owns three conference championship rings and was an essential member of the coaching staff for St. John’s Elite Eight run in 1999 and NIT Championship in 2003. Jarvis II has served as an assistant for a host of respected coaching veterans including his father Mike Jarvis, Bill Herrion, and legendary Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Most recently, Jarvis II was head boys’ basketball coach at Green Farms Academy in Westport. He is a graduate of Boston University, where he earned a degree in Communication in 1992.
