    Martin Bahar was promoted after spending the 2011-12 season as the director of basketball operations at Fairfield University. 

    Bahar helped the Stags earn two postseason berths in his two years with the program. Fairfield advanced to the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) and earned another berth in the 2013 edition of the CIT. Since his arrival, two Fairfield student-athletes have signed professional contracts, namely Rakim Sanders (Israel) and Ryan Olander (Lithuania). 

     He spent 2010-11 with Coach Johnson as an assistant coach, helping the Tigers post a 25-7 overall record and capture the 2011 Ivy League championship. With that title, the Tigers advanced to the NCAA tournament and nearly upset NCAA tourney runner-up University of Kentucky. He served as the director of basketball operations during the 2009-10 season at Old Nassau

     Before joining the Princeton coaching staff, Bahar was part of the Georgetown University program under Head Coach John Thompson III. Bahar served as a graduate manager with the Hoyas while he pursued his master’s degree after one season as the video coordinator. He earned his degree in communications, culture, and technology in 2008. 

     He was an undergraduate manager at Vanderbilt University until his graduation in 2006. Bahar completed a double-major in communications and spanish at Vanderbilt.
