Bryan Dougher

Bryan Dougher joined Fairfield University Men's Basketball in June of 2019 as an assistant coach. He came to the program after spending the five seasons as the director of basketball operations at Stony Brook University (2014-16) and Rutgers University (2015-18).

His work as the director of basketball operations included a variety of administrative tasks including coordinating team travel, scheduling of practices, official visits and recruiting records as well as fundraising initiatives, alumni events, and overseeing student-athlete academic schedules. He graduated from Stony Brook as the men’s basketball program all-time scoring leader during the Division I era with 1,609 points and was inducted into the Seawolves' Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021. Dougher went on to play professional basketball in Australia as a member of the Ringwood Hawks where he was the team’s top scorer in two seasons.

Dougher was a four-year starter at point guard for Stony Brook from 2008-12. He set the Seawolves' Division I record for three pointers in a season and went on to receive a spot on the America East All-Rookie Team in 2008-09. He was rewarded with a Second Team All-America East berth as a sophomore after placing 13th in the nation for three-point field goal percentage (42.4) and averaging 13.8 points per game. Those numbers helped Stony Brook capture its first-ever America East Regular Season Championship.

Dougher also made the All-America East Second Team as a junior before securing an All-AE First Team nod in his senior season. He led the team in scoring as a senior with a 13.2 points per game average and paced the conference in three pointers with 89 made triples. In 126 career games at Stony Brook, Dougher averaged 12.8 points per game and collected 234 assists and 125 steals.
