Brian Nash

  • Title
    Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Brian Nash enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Fairfield
University men’s basketball program. He brings Division I experience both as a head
and an assistant coach.

Before arriving at Fairfield, Nash spent five seasons as the head coach at St.
Francis College (N.Y.). During his time with the Terriers, Nash led the program to double-
digit win totals three times, and finished his five-year tenure with 47 victories and
33 wins in the Northeast Conference.

He was also successful as an assistant coach at the Division I level. He spent
four seasons as an assistant under Louis Orr where he helped the Pirates collect an
NIT berth in 2003 and an NCAA tournament spot in 2004. He was part of Orr’s staff
at Siena College for the 2000-01 season.

His resume also includes a seven-year stay at St. Bonaventure University as
the Bonnies garnered two post-season berths - 1994 NIT and 2000 NCAA tournaments.
St. Bonaventure nearly upset the University of Kentucky in the 2000 tournament
but fell short of the bid. His career as a coach began at Sacred Heart University
where he spent one season with Head Coach Dave Bike.

Nash played his collegiate basketball at Keene State University where he
earned All-New England Collegiate Conference honors. He was also a two-time captain
and graduated in 1992.

He played high school basketball under his father Ray Nash at Bishop Ford
High School in Brooklyn. He was an All-City and an All-Brooklyn player while playing at
Bishop Ford.
